RECIPE: PLAY DOUGH

IT'S PLAYTIME!

This is an easy recipe for family fun. Have the kids help make their own play dough. A great idea for your next rainy Saturday or play date. A word of caution... the food coloring does stain... keep a keen eye on the three year olds!

2 Cup flour
1 Cup cornstarch
1 Cup salt
1/4 Cup cream of tartar
2 Cup hot water
2 tbsp. oil

  • Place the dry ingredients in the slow cooker and mix
  • Add the water and oil
  • Stir until completely blended
  • Cook on LOW, check every 20 minutes until a ball forms
  • Remove from heat and cool enough to handle
  • Kneed dough. If it is too dry, add water. If it is too sticky, add cornstarch
  • Add food coloring and kneed until evenly distributed
  • ENJOY!
