2 - 3 Lbs. boneless skinless chicken thighs (feel free to substitute legs or even breasts)
2 tbs. olive oil
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. garlic powder
- Brown chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat in a skillet
- transfer chicken to slow cooker
- combine soy, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic in a bowl and stir until blended
- pour over chicken
- cook on HIGH for 1 hour
- turn over chicken to make certain it is coated
- cook on LOW for 4 hours
- serve over white rice and spoon liquid over chicken and rice
- ENJOY!
This is an absoultely delicious recipe. We put it over some rice. The chicken melted in my mouth. Well done, your highness!!
