RECIPE: Shrimp and Chicken Marinara


  • An easy Italian-American dish. Goes together easy, tastes great!

  • 1.5 lbs. boneless skinless chicken thighs (cut into bite sized pieces)
  • 1 lb. cooked small shrimp
  • 1 (30oz.) can of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic (pressed)
  • 1 bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 tbs. canola oil
  • 1 tbs. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta or other small pasta
  1. Brown chicken in skillet with oil
  2. Place in slow cooker with all other ingredients (except the shrimp and orzo)
  3. Cook on LOW for 7 hours.
  4. Add orzo. Cook an additional 30 minutes
  5. Add cooker shrimp cook an additional 15 minutes
  6. ENJOY!
