RECIPE: Shrimp and Chicken Marinara
- An easy Italian-American dish. Goes together easy, tastes great!
- 1.5 lbs. boneless skinless chicken thighs (cut into bite sized pieces)
- 1 lb. cooked small shrimp
- 1 (30oz.) can of crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic (pressed)
- 1 bell pepper (diced)
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 tbs. canola oil
- 1 tbs. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta or other small pasta
- Brown chicken in skillet with oil
- Place in slow cooker with all other ingredients (except the shrimp and orzo)
- Cook on LOW for 7 hours.
- Add orzo. Cook an additional 30 minutes
- Add cooker shrimp cook an additional 15 minutes
