RECIPE: Sweet Candied Nuts

A delicious treat, a unique holiday gift idea, a SUPER EASY crock recipe. These deliciously sweet spiced nuts are a classic. Your choice in nuts is clearly up to you, but I use pecan and walnut halves.



1 lb. shelled pecan halves
1 lb. shelled walnut halves
1.5 sticks unsalted butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg



  • Place nuts and butter in slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 15 minutes.
  • Stir in powdered sugar and turn until coated
  • Reduce heat to LOW and cook for 2 hours, stirring after 1 hour
  • Add spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger). Stir until coated.
  • Transfer nuts to parchment paper to cool
