RECIPE: Beer Brats

Are you having a Memorial Day Cookout? Looking for an alternative to burgers and dogs that will give you more time with your guests and less time sweating by the grill? This is a great recipe that your guests will love... and SO EASY!

6 - 12 Bratwurst (those of your North of Boston need to check out Karl's Sausage Kitchen in Saugus... it is HEAVEN!)
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 small chopped onion
1 (or 2) bottle of beer (I like to use HARP)

  • Heat oil in skillet
  • Add garlic, onion, and brats
  • Cook until onions are translucent and brats browned
  • Transfer onions and brats to slow cooker and add beer
  • Cook on LOW for 6 hours
  • ENJOY!
