RECIPE: Chocolate Peppermint Mess

This variation on the classic chocolate cake is easy to put together and tastes delicious. Chocolate and peppermint combine to make this holiday favorite. This delicious dessert goes together in a snap... it's a PIECE of CAKE!

1 package chocolate cake mix
1/2 pint sour cream
1 package instant chocolate pudding
1 small bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup canola oil
4 eggs
1 cup water
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
2/3 cup chocolate peppermint sauce (you CAN use regular chocolate sauce, but the Stonewall Kitchen Chocolate Peppermint Sauce is AMAZING!)

  • Spray slow cooker with cooking spray (PAM)
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients
  • Stir until completely blended
  • Cook on LOW for 7 hours
  • Serve with whipped topping or vanilla ice cream
  • ENJOY!
