RECIPE: Sloppy, Sloppy Joes


serves 12
4 Lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
1 (28oz.) can tomato sauce
2 (11oz.) cans of condensed tomato soup
1 cup of packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbs. yellow mustard
1 1/2 tsps. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder

  • brown beef over medium heat, break up meat to fine pieces
  • add onion and pepper and cook until onion is translucent
  • add meat mixture and all remaining ingredients to slow cooker
  • stir well to combine
  • cook on low 4-6 hours
  • NOTE: you may need to remove lid to get rid of some of the liquid
Serve on Bulky Rolls and enjoy!

suggested side dish: cole slaw and UTZ ruffled potato chips
